1. 33KV AIR BREAK SWITCH covers 33kV, 50Hz Triple Pole Air Break Switches complete with operating mechanism for outdoor installation. The switches is suitable for operation under off-load conditions only and are intended for use on Single-Phase Distribution Sub-stations.
2.The AB Switch is of Triple-pole construction and shall be suitable for horizontal or vertical mounting as required by the purchaser. The switch has two 33kV post insulators per phase suitably mounted on angle irons to enable easy movement of insulators. The angles is mounted on a steel frame made of two angle/channel supports. The switch is manually operated with a rocking type arrangement through a 30mm2 Galvanized Iron coupling rod.
3.All current carrying parts is made of silver or nickle-plated 90% electrolytic copper. The arcing horns is made of phosphor bronze and shall have spring-assisted operation. The switch has a spring mechanism so as to ensure that the speed of opening of contacts is independent of the speed of manual operation.
4.The ***cing between the phases is adjustable between 600mm to 1000mm. Total length of the square beam/base frame is kept as 2650mm. The switch assembly is suitable for mounting on a H-pole structure with centre-to-centre distance between poles up to 2440mm. Length of the operating tube vary from 4800mm to 6000mm depending upon the mounting position of the switch on the structure (exact length to be specified by the purchaser).
5.The switch is provided with bimetallic connectors on the incoming side to accommodate Aluminum conductors of sizes 20, 30 and 50mm2. On the outgoing side, about 1 meter long flexible coil type cable jumper of not less than 50mm2 Aluminum section shall be provided. All iron parts is hot dip galvanized accordance with IEC Standard.
